Recovery Oriented Care
What is meant by recovery-oriented care?
Recovery became a focus of attention when it was recognized that symptom reduction alone was not sufficient, and that functionality and outcomes that are most meaningful to patients and families need to be considered
Recovery-oriented care focuses on three areas targeted to achieve recovery: symptom remission, functional remission, and good overall quality of life.
At the Lieber Clinic, we emphasize developing meaning, enhancing relationships, and valuing participation as foundational aspects of recovery orientated care. In partnership with the participant, family, and extended treatment team, the Lieber Clinic develops a personalized treatment plan based on the goals and needs of each individual. This plan is flexible, changing as the needs of the participant changes.
